Pangaea Express: PMPRB Third Delay

The PMPRB has updated their website to state the coming-into-force of the amended Patented Medicines Regulations has been further delayed until January 1, 2022.

IMC urges the government to make use of this delay to re-evaluate a way forward for modernizing the PMPRB through cooperative discussion and BIOTECanada commented on the need to develop a “more holistic policy approach for the sector which recognizes the interconnectivity of the ecosystem”. The Canadian Organization for Rare Diseases is asking for a “fundamental overhaul that takes into consideration all of the patient feedback received to date”.
